I added my painting "Winter Fox" to my online store today. It was influenced by the fox I painted for the book "Nine Tailed Fox" by Jon Courtenay. I wanted to do a piece that was all about this folklore character.
The painting is oil on hardboard, Image size 11 x 11 inches, 17 x 17 inches with frame. Here is the link to my store: http://www.jonfoster.com/store/c1/Featured_Products.html I would love to make a series of paintings centered around animals from folklore to contemporary literature. I would probably be the only person interested in these types of paintings, but I am aching to make a painting of Baloo! Does anybody out there know the character Baloo? I think I am dating myself...

The only traditional Magic the Gathering card I have left in the studio. I had a lot of fun painting this card. I used thick and thin applications of paint, scratched into the surface for the wrinkles. Plus the creature has horns and exposed bones, always fun things to paint! Oh, and tentacles, it has it all!
The image is 15 x 10 inches, with frame 22 x 17 inches. Oil on hardboard. Comes with the frame. Please follow this link to my store. http://www.jonfoster.com/store/c4/ORIGINAL_ART.html |
